Obituary for Charles Stevens
Charles Stevens, age 75, of Vancleve, Kentucky passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his residence.
Charles was born on March 5, 1941, a son of the late Freelin and Bessie (Mullins) Stevens. He was a retired bus driver and farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Mullins) Stevens of Vancleve, Kentucky; five daughters, Voida (Leonard) Banks of Winchester, Kentucky; Mary Flinchum of Vancleve, Kentucky; Lisa (Junior) Flinchum of Campton, Kentucky; Vickie Gross (Sonny Alsept) of Vancleve, Kentucky; Kim Stevens of Vancleve, Kentucky; four sons, Chuck (Janet) Stevens of Haddix, Kentucky; Mark Stevens of Vancleve, Kentucky; Paul (Beverly) Stevens of Vancleve, Kentucky; Brian (Jessica) Stevens of Vancleve, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Dustin Flinchum, Brittany Gross, Charlie Flinchum, Kaycie Banks, Britnie (Robert) Stamper, Nancy Baker, Jayden Smith, Gary Jo Moore, Jamie Wells; seven great grandchildren, Corey Flinchum, Kylie Gross, Lillianna Wells, Brody Wells, Makayla Jones, Joslyn Moore, and Ali Moore; three sisters, Wanda Back of Rousseau, Kentucky; Emmy Lou (Jack) Silvers of Indiana; Linda Gibson of Rousseau, Kentucky; one brother, Larry Stevens of Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, Freelin and Bessie (Mullins) Stevens, Charles was preceded in death by one sister, Maggie Back; and one brother, James Stevens.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016 with Drewey Jones officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Stevens Cemetery at Vancleve, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 and anytime Sunday prior to funeral services.
