Brenda Sue Holbrook, age 66, of Jackson, Kentucky, beloved wife of the late Elmer Lee Holbrook, passed away, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Nim Henson Geriatric Center in Jackson, kentucky.
Sue was born on April 12, 1952, a daughter of the late Marion and Opal (Lawson) Haddix. She was a retired social worker.
She is survived by one son, Gary Holbrook (Julie Drake) of Rousseau, Kentucky; five grandchildren: Morgan Slone, Ashley Slone, Jarrod Holbrook, Constance Swineheart, and Jena Ray Henson; one sister, Helen (Monroe) Fugate of Chicago; two brothers: Ollie Haddix of Middletown Ohio; and Tommy (Goldie) Haddix of Lost Creek, Kentucky; a host of nieces, and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Elmer Lee Holbrook; and parents, Marion and Opal Haddix, Sue was also preceded in death by grandson, Justin Henson; sister, Anna Lois Gross; and brothers: Virgil Ray Haddix and Vern Haddix.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2018 with Emmitt Campbell and Robbie Gross officiating. Sue will be laid to rest in the Holbrook Cemetery at Rousseau, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Special singing will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
