Obituary for Bobby Joe "Hawk" Hudson
Bobby Joe “Hawk” Hudson, age 74, of Vancleve, Kentucky, beloved husband of the late Joyce Sparks Hudson, passed away, Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
Bobby was born on August 28, 1944 to the late Roy and Marie (Burst) Hudson. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by one son, Jerry Wayne (Darlene) Hudson of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; seven stepchildren: Connie Ray (Craig) Francis of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Christine McCarthy, also of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Deniece (Mac) Trusty, Darlene Gillum, Russell Pelfrey Jr. and Missy, Eddie (Sandy) Pelfrey, Darren (Jenny) Pelfrey, all of Vancleve, Kentucky; one sister, Jodi Treadway of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; four brothers: Dwight Hudson of Versailles, Kentucky; Dudley Hudson, also of Versailles, Kentucky; George Hudson of Stanton, Kentucky; and Roy Clay Hudson of Williamstown, Kentucky; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, Joyce Sparks Hudson, and parents, Roy and Marie Hudson, Bobby was also preceded in death by three children: Robert Hudson, Annabelle Roland, and Diane White.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 with Pastor Bobby Hollon officiating. Bobby will be laid to rest in the Pelfrey Cemetery at Vancleve, Kentucky with Roy Kidd, Travis Kidd, Ricky Wilder Jr., Richard Manns, Tyler Pelfrey, and Brandon Pelfrey serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018.
