Beulah Mae Haddix King, age 87, of Sparta, Kentucky - formerly of Breathitt County, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Beulah was born on August 17, 1931 to the late Floyd and Mary Ann Tackett Haddix. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her five children: Mary Yancey of Sparta, Kentucky; Lloyd King of Columbus, Indiana; Mike King of Milford, Ohio; Darrell (Anna Bess) King of Sparta, Kentucky; and Rick (Janie) King of Jackson, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; three sisters: Lillie Strong of Yspilanti, Michigan; Emma Lee Brewer of West Port, Indiana; and Bonnie Jean Smith of Cynthiana, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Floyd and Mary Ann Haddix; Beulah was preceded in death by her husband Kelly King; three sons: Phillip King, Jackie King, and Stan King; one brother: Kenneth Haddix; and three sisters: Marie Haddix, Shirley McIntosh, and Katherine Campbell.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home in Jackson, Kentucky at 11:00 AM on Sunday, February 17,2019 with Chris Russell and Bryan Combs officiating. Beulah will be laid to rest in the Haddix Cemetery Inc, at Haddix, Kentucky with Scott King, Jordan Fugate, Bryson Caldwell, Bryant Caldwell, Chris King, Braeden Baker, Cody Hughes, and Eddie Brewer serving as pallbearers and Bryric Caldwell serving as honorary pallbearer. Friends may visit the funeral home at 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019.
