Obituary for Anna Mae Vires Spencer
Anna Mae Vires Spencer, age 64, of Vancleve, KY, beloved wife of the Late James Ford Spencer, departed this earthly life Friday, January 1, 2016 at Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care in Hazard, KY. Anna was born July 1, 1951, a daughter of the Late Fitch and Golden Banks Vires. She was a homemaker and a member of House of Prayer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; one sister, Audrey Jean Lucas; two brother-in-laws, Frank Fugate and Johnny Spencer. Anna is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Randy) Sparks of Vancleve, KY; one son, Allen (Bonny) Spencer of Beattyville, KY; two brothers, Stanley "Buck" (Dorothy) Vires of Jackson, KY; Earl (Sharon) Vires of Beattyville, KY; six sisters, Katherine Vires, Sherry (Tony) Collins, Irene Spencer, Pam (Bob) Shelton, Jocie (Eddie) Banks, all of Jackson, KY; and Judy (Mike) Southers of Campton, KY; five Granddaughters, Kristi (Goley) Spencer, Alyssa Sparks, Jamie Spencer, Katie Spencer and Makayla Spencer; two Grandsons, John Sparks, Lee (Shannon) Spencer, Great Grandson, Colson Ford Spencer; very special friend, Lucille Lovins. Anna also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of the Bluegrass for their great care of their dear mother, especially Bobbi Dalton, Beverly Wolfe and all the nurses and aids.
