Obituary for Anna Jean Fugate Barnett
Anna Jean Fugate Barnett, age 81, of Jackson, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care in Hazard, Kentucky.
Anna Jean was born on March 24, 1937 to the late James X and Lillie Williams Fugate and was the beloved wife of the late Bobby Barnett. She was a member of Middle Quicksand Baptist Church and a self-employed merchant.
She is survived by one daughter: Tracey (Jimbo) Combs of Jackson, Kentucky; two sons: Haven (Kaye) Barnett of Jackson, Kentucky and Ray (Darlene) Barnett of Jackson, Kentucky; two brothers: Ode (Mary Lillian) Fugate of Jackson, Kentucky and Haven Fugate of Jackson, Kentucky; one sister: Ethel (Sid) Bennett of Missouri; four grandchildren: Timothy Ray Barnett, Melissa Dawn Smith, Haven Joshua Barnett, and Dustin Todd Barnett; seven great grandchildren: Taylor Smith, Kayla Barnett, Brayden Barnett, Audrey Barnett, Londyn Barnett, SuEllen Barnett, and Subanna Barnett; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband Bobby Barnett and parents, James X and Lillie Fugate, Anna Jean was preceded in death by two sisters: Rhoda Eaton and Dorothy White and two brothers: Odell Fugate and Frank Fugate.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 13, 2018 with Pastor Carl McIntosh officiating. Anna Jean will be laid to rest in the Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, Kentucky with grandsons and nephews: Timothy Barnett, Joshua Barnett, Dustin Barnett, Donnie Ray Combs, Ricky Barnett, Donald White Jr., and Jimmy Lawson serving as pallbearers. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018.
