Obituary for Alfred Turner
Alfred Turner, age 72, of Jackson, KY passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at his residence.
Alfred was born August 24, 1943 to the Late Millard and Mentie Dora Salyers Turner. He was a retired welder.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Corinne Grimes Turner of Jackson, KY; two daughters, Holly Ann Brainard of California; Ashley Ann (Jordan) Turner of Jackson, KY; one son, Shawn Eric Turner of Jackson, KY; two grandchildren, Kyle (Renee) Brainard, and Emily (Christopher) Getchell; three great grandchildren, Matthew, Abbi, and Maddi; five sisters, Oma Tharp of Alexandria, KY; Shirley Ann Tucker of McDaniels, KY; Margaret Helen Turner of Jackson, KY; Dana (Daniel Ray) Moore of Jackson, KY; Elizabeth Jean (Larry) Strong of Jackson, KY; four brothers, Reggie (Wanda) Turner, Ossie (Barbara) Turner, David (Mildred) Turner, and Jeffrey (Martha) Turner, all of Jackson, KY; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Alfred was preceded in death by his son, Alfred Turner Jr.; parents, Millard and Mentie Dora Turner; brothers, Herman Turner, and L.C. Turner; sister, Brenda Turner.
Funeral services will be held at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Jackson, KY, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2016 with Pastor Mike Tabor and Rev. Bill Taulbee officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Alfred will be laid to rest in the Jackson, Cemetery in Jackson, KY with pallbearers being Shawn Turner, Kyle Brainard, Jordan Turner, Ira Dewayne Gibson, Christopher Getchell, and Tyler Nichols.
