Obituary for Alamay Gross
Alamay Gross, age 85, of Jackson, Kentucky passed away on Sunday May 1, 2022 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Alamay was born on March 18, 1937 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Robert and Ella Watts Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Amos Gross; Her sisters: Marie Cundiff, Margie Clemons, Juanita Mooney, and Virginia Turner; Brothers: Rev. Virgil Turner and Samuel Turner, nieces; Jeannie Turner, Melda Fuller, Dean Cundiff, and Patricia Reed, and nephew, Ricky Clemons.
She is survived by her sister; Thelma Jean Combs of Walled Lake, MI, her sister-in-law; Anita Turner of Jackson, KY, along with a host of close nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 7, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Finley officiating. Alamay will be laid to rest in The Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Watts Funeral Home.
