Obituary for Ina Jean Whitley
Ina Jean Whitley, age 73, of Jackson, Kentucky, beloved wife of the late Robert Whitley, passed away, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her residence.
Ina was born on July 24, 1944 to the late Shelby and Grace (Combs) Gross. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Regular Baptist Church of Shoulderblade, Kentucky.
She is survived by three sons: James Whitley, Floyd Ray Whitley and Roy Ed Whitley, all of Jackson, Kentucky; three sisters: Lela Mae Spencer, Teresa McIntosh, and Edna Faye Terry, all of Jackson, Kentucky; three brothers: Frank Gross of Lexington, Kentucky; Doug (Kelsie) Gross of Jackson, Kentucky; and Carlos Gross of Jackson, Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Robert Whitley, and parents, Shelby and Gracie Gross, Ina was preceded in death by one sister, Freda Gail Gross.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018 with Rev. Archie Combs officiating. Ina will be laid to rest in the Gilbert Cemetery at Shoulderblade, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
