Obituary for Betty Jo Spicer
Betty Jo Spicer, age 76, of Beattyville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Hazard ARH in Hazard, Kentucky.
Betty was born on January 17, 1942 to the late Arnold and Lula (McDaniel) Gross. She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Windell Spicer of Beattyville, Kentucky; two sons: Colin (Shirley) Spicer of Athol, Kentucky; and Frank (Lois) Spicer also of Athol, Kentucky; two granddaughters: Lisa (Bill) Eckler, and Barbara Spicer; nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Arnold and Lula Gross, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, and seven sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 with Robert Cundiff officiating. Betty will be laid to rest in the Clair Cemetery at Athol, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018.
